I love the challenge of taking a stone and finding the impossible shape inside it. I share the challenge of creating in 3D with all sculptors, but the techniques of cutting, shaping, and polishing stone I’ve learned from artists who’ve lived millennia before I was born. The timelessness of stone sculpture gives me pause to realize that I am also sending a message to people who are still many generations in the future.

Generally my work reflects themes of space, time, destiny, and chance, and I try to weave references to science and history into my artworks. My goal is to offer the viewer a physically beautiful piece that can provoke reflection and consideration of another viewpoint such that each time they see the artwork they discover something new and different.

In addition to international private collections, I am honored to have my work in such diverse public collections as the Hotel Henry conference center in Buffalo NY, the lobby of the AC Hotel in Times Square NY, the Mollie Wilmot Radiation Oncology Center in Saratoga Springs NY, and the Crystal Park sculpture park in Holmes NY. to name a few.
