My work focuses on using quality materials to produce sturdy functional pieces. I use hardwoods such as red oak, maple and walnut, as well as imports such as ribbon sapele and zebra wood. I employ traditional joinery techniques and create interest with contrasting detailed trim and inlays. Pieces are not stained, preserving the wood’s natural beauty, and are finished with an all-natural penetrating oil. Whether working on a commissioned humidor or adding to my stock of tissue box covers and picture frames, time spent in my tiny shop working with wood is very satisfying.
